Professional life
Ms. Morgan was a managing partner and one of the founders of several holding groups. During her career, Meruyert managed and co-owned international mining, metallurgy, trade, oil and gas companies related to "Sat & Company" JSC in Kazakhstan, Jordan, Turkey, China, Switzerland and Great Britain. Ms. Morgan has a strong theoretical and practical background in the strategic management, this allows her to work on diversified projects in different countries at the same time.

Ms. Morgan initiated the founding of an NGO "Kazakhstan Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs" (KUIE) based on the holding group. While being a Vice President of KUIE, she participated in a number of international high-level conferences and symposiums as a guest, panel speaker and a moderator. She was appointed Vice President in charge of Strategic Business and Environment Development in the international NGO "Union of Black Sea and Caspian Confederation of Enterprises" (UBCCE) (link here) that was founded by 16 business organizations from 12 different countries.

To promote greater international collaboration and efficiency, Ms. Morgan invited the Kazakhstan Association of Oil‐Gas and Energy Sector Organizations "KazEnergy", one of the most influential oil and gas lobby NGO's in the region (www.kazenergy.com), to become a member of UBCCE and was subsequently appointed as Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of KazEnergy Association. While being responsible for an international cooperation, Ms. Morgan drastically increased the scope of international recognition and cooperation of the KazEnergy Association by several major initiatives, such as membership in World Petroleum Council (WPC) (world-petroleum.org) and in World Energy Council (WEC) (worldenergy.org). After that, Ms. Morgan was appointed as a member of Kazakhstan Member Committee of WPC and a member of Kazakhstan National Committee of WEC.

She also widened international recognition and provided a solid ground for further development of the leading oil and gas discussion platform "KazEnergy Eurasian Forum" (www.kazenergyforum.com) by inviting high level global speakers such as Gerhard Schroeder, former Chancellor of Germany, Dick Cheney, the 46th Vice president of the United States of America, and many other influential global personalities.

Along with her non-governmental activity Ms. Morgan was appointed to the biggest state holding company Sovereign Wealth Fund "Samruk-Kazyna" JSC as a deputy Director on investments (www.sk.kz). The sole shareholder of the Fund is the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Fund was established to manage the economy of the country during the crisis of 2008 and in particular to improve the national welfare of the Republic of Kazakhstan and to support the modernization of the national economy. In this position Ms. Morgan within the team evaluated whether projects of state companies should be funded from the national budget.

Before that Ms. Morgan was also invited as an analyst and adviser to the International Institute for Modern Politics (IIMP), where she was involved in a political party election campaign and prepared analytical reports on international practice of law-making and law enforcement for the Parliamentary sessions.

During her residency in the United States, Ms. Morgan continued her endeavors. Due to her extensive professional experience and academic background, she supported the Democratic Party election campaign for the United States Congress in 2012. She also supported the candidature of Eric Garcetti during the election campaign for Mayor of Los Angeles, California. (lamayor.org). She also became a venture partner in a couple of start-up companies based on Facebook Inc.

While being a dedicated member of the community and an active proponent of the principle of international collaboration, she also supported the construction of St. Matrona Russian Orthodox Church in Miami, Florida.

At the present time, Meruyert Morgan is working on a few international projects in the USA, France and Russia.
